Global Design Project - Colour Challenge - #GDP069

Hi and welcome back to my creative BLOG. I have decided to join in another weekly Global Design Challenge and this week it is a colour challenge.

http://www.global-design-project.com/2017/01/global-design-project-069-colour.html
I decided to go with Smoky Slate as my free colour choice, and I also combined this challenge entry with my Creative Jems team card swap.  I know it's slightly early for Father's Day, but I have had this idea in my mind for a while, so it was the perfect excuse to get it made.

The screw heads that you can see come from the lovely matching Metal Embellishment pack, and I have cut out three sets of the hammer and layered them together. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set. This bundle is SO versatile, I expect we will see lots of ideas and inspiration in due course. I am running a class featuring this set - EMAIL me for details.

The background papers are from the matching Designer Series Paper, run through the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, as featured HERE. The little die cut 'nuts' fit the hexagon shape perfectly. I die cut them (and the hammer head) out of the silver foil card.
