Fun Birthday Cards

I just wanted to share a couple of fun Birthday Cards that I made recently.  These were for people at a local horse livery yard, so the cards featured photos of their horses as the stars of the show.


Here is Amy's card:

I used our fantastic new 'Hardwood' Stamp to create the stable that her horse Joe is looking out of.

The photo of Joe is glossy which is why it does not show up too well in the photo opposite. I cut strips of the crumb cake card which I had stamped on to make the extra stable layers.

The Happy Birthday wishes message was cut out using the 'Word Bubbles' Framelits, but I used a different sentiment in the middle.



The second card features our new 'On Film' Framelits which means you can cut out card to look either like Polaroid photographs, or slides. It cuts all those tiny little squares too - but they just pop out easily with a paper piercing tool.

The horse stamp along the bottom is one of four non Stampin' Up! stamps I own. I have no idea where I bought this from, its years old but perfect for this type of card. I used Cajun Craze as the colour to match Mike's Chestnut horse.
