Mini Album Class using Envelope Punch Board

Hello !
I did say in my previous posting that I would share more details of the Mini Album that we made at one of my Special Classes recently. I have managed to get around to photographing one of the albums I made, so I am delighted to share this with you.

The finished album is approximately 3.5" x 3.5" but you can make these albums in any size, as they are based on an envelope. With our new Envelope Punch Board, you can make envelopes up to 6" x 8.5" in any designer paper of your choice. I used a sheet of 12x12 This and That designer paper which makes 4 envelopes for the basic album.  This is a great sheet for Travel Journals or as a memento for a holiday. I used a Chalk Talk Framelit to make the little front label and added some matching Chevron Ribbon to finish off the front. The 'Hello' sentiment is from the Oh Hello! stamp set

When you open the album, each page has an insert which tucks into the edge of the album.
This could hold journalling, photos, or even a secret message :)
I have added a little tab on each of the insert sheets to make them easy to get out of the album. That pretty tab shape is created with the Artisan Label Punch, punch your card, then fold in half and if wanted, round the corners with the Envelope Punch Board.

Here is a sample insert, which has been stamped with Betsy's Blossoms, and you can clearly see the tab too. It's all ready to add a photo..

On the next section of the album, I used some Washi Tape to make it look like I had 'taped' some of the paper in, a little banner and a sentiment. You can see how the insert fits in the edge of the album on the right hand side in this photo.

For the last set of pages, I included a 'hidden' insert with Baker's Twine attached, you can see that I also used some matching Washi Tape on the insert too.

I hope you like the project, from a single sheet of 12x12 paper, plus some card and paper scraps to finish.. its a great, inexpensive project for any time of year.

I have my final Envelope Punch Board/Mini Album class this FRIDAY 24th January in Brackley. If you would like an invitation (limited spaces left) then please contact me as soon as possible.
Thanks for reading!
