I am so lucky in my family that I have become Great Aunt for the second and third time recently, so it was about time I made some baby cards to celebrate. One of my local friends is a machine embroiderer, and so she embroidered two bibs for each of my new great nephew and niece, with their name and a sweet design.
I never bought the Two By Two stamp set when it was in the catalogue, and it retired in the summer of this year. BUT the good news is that it is available on My Digital Studio - our new digital software. Best of all the cost was just £1.50 - so I ordered it online, and within minutes was downloading it for printing. One of the benefits of digital stamps - is that you can re-size them. So this was what I did:
Here you can see the previous catalogue photo (true to size) and my printed version which is approx 1.5 times the size. If you look at the height of the image you can see it best.
I printed 4 each of the images onto an A4 sheet, so I had an enjoyable evening just colouring in the ark and the animals as I wanted.
I used our Square Framelits to cut out the stamped image, plus two other layers to fit my 5"x5" card.
Here are the finished 2 cards:
As I had made some square cards, I then needed envelopes to fit. As these were special cards, I decided to use our Designer Series Paper to create the envelopes, along with our New Envelope Punch Board. Within literally a few minutes, I had made 2 envelopes to match. I even added a vellum liner for the blue envelope.
I was so pleased with my results - using 2 new products, My Digital Studio (MDS) and the Envelope Punch Board. You just never know what is around the corner with the extensive Stampin' Up! product range. If you had told me 12 months ago I would be creating digital cards, stamps and scrapbooks I am not sure I would of believed you! Want to try out the software for FREE?
