It has been fantastic to be back with our in-person Coffee and Cards since mid June, and great to share our love of card making with each other. It has also been great to have some new people join us at coffee and card, at each of our two locations.

Let me share our coffee and card designs first.

 

Coffee and Card designs are based on #simplestamping projects,usually featuring stamps, ink and paper - staple products from Stampin' Up! I will often ue Note Cards and envelopes, as that way I can cater for different quantitie of attendees - just by having a spare pack in my bag.

This week (19th July onwards)  we are featuring a new stamp set called Colour and Contour. It has some stunning matching dies, but the stamps work really well in their own right.

NEW location for coffee and card in Towcester

185 Watling Street

I have been running coffee and card sessions in Towcester for nearly 3 years, most recently at the Saracens Head pub - which we moved to 18 months ago as a temporary measure after the closure of the Dolphin Cafe ! 

I am now delighted to annouce that we have a new location starting this week Monday 22 January 2018.   We will be meeting at 185 Watling Street, which is right in the centre of Towcester. There is disabled access via the white door on the left of the photo. Free parking is available nearby. Our session times remain unchanged at 9:30-10:30am

 Our new venue provides:

• A bright, well-lit restaurant area
• Freshly made coffee, hot chocolate and teas 
• Free toast available until 11:30am
• Plenty of space
• A dedicated area for our coffee and card
• Friendly, welcoming staff.
• Toilet facilities on the ground floor

I am really looking forward to this new venue, and we will start our sessions with a bookmark card this week. Bookmarks are so useful, and make a great small gift on their own or with a book of course! Coffee and card sessions in Towcester cost £6 per person, inclusive of tuition, supplies, hot drink and toast.

There are 3 hanging basket images you can use, and plenty of sweet sentiments, two of which I have used as you can see. They can be added to a card, or just kept on their own. I used my Blends pens to colour in the images, although you could also use Stampin' Write Markers too as it is a small area to colour in. 

I used our Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create the bookmark tops, and just threaded them with our glitter ribbon. A small strip of silver glimmer card makes the holder for the bookmark. I think this would work for mens cards (especially gardeners) as well as new home cards.

The Hanging Garden stamp set costs £17.00 and is available in our 2018 Spring/Summer catalogue. It consists of 9 images, including 5 sentiments, 3 hanging baskets and a pair of buterflies. you can order these from my store anytime online, or you can contact me by email for further details.
