Fun animal cards - Playing In the Rain stamp set

 Playing In the Rain

We have had great fun with this cute stamp set from Stampin' Up! this week. The name of the stamp set being very appropriate indeed! The weather here in the UK has varied from warm Spring sunshne, to snow showers to pouring rain! Typical British weather.

So have a look at these cute cards. There are 3 characters in the stamp set - a rabbit/hare, a tortoise and a fox.

I started with this card in my first live crafting session with this stamp set. You can see the matching Raindrops Embossing Folder on the Balmy Blue layer in this photo, it's the perfect background. I had to add the little flowers on my envelope. I coloured these images with our alcohol markers - Stampin' Blends.

I then had to introduce the lovely co-ordinating papers, which feature the same characters, plus a dog and a pig.  There are co-ordinating dies that cut out the main stamped images, but I was brave and fussy cut the tortoise in this next card.  Don't forget when you buy the stamps and dies together, you will save yourself 10% on both.

You can see the papers and the card being made in the video below. I made a slimline card so I could make the most of the papers.  We sell the slimline envelopes that go with this card (21cm x 18cm, scored at 9cm). The papers are called Rain or Shine and have some fabulous embossing details on them.

We used this stamp set at coffee and card to create some simple 4" (10cm) square cards. which you can see below.  You might norice the embossed background layers - these are from a set of 3 new embossing folders, called Basics 3D embossing folders. See link at the bottom of this blog post.

We also created a card with a matching animal bookmark, you can see this in the video below.  The corner bookmark fits on the top right hand side of the card.

You can order any of the items used via my online shop.  They are all current until end April 2023 (subject to availability towards the end). To make things easier you can use any of the links below to view the main products.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope the sun is shining where you are.
