CLASS IN A BOX - a fun card class in your own home.

CLASS IN A BOX from Jemini Crafts

Are you missing out on in-person craft classes at the moment?
Maybe you would like to get back into card making after a break?
Do you want to give card making a go?
Do you want to meet online with like-minded, friendly paper crafters?

If so, then our monthly CLASS IN A BOX might be the answer!

What is it?

It's a papercraft box delivered to your door, which includes card stock, designer (patterned) paper, card bases, envelopes, die cut shapes and embellishments. There is access to a series of videos included (1 video per design), and an optional online ZOOM class you can join in.

Each month we feature a different set of Stampin' Up! products, which you can add as options to your class (no additional postage) - for example this month it is True Love Designer paper and the Vine Design stamps and  Flowering Vine dies.

Do I have to make the cards as shown?

It's entirely up to you! You can make the cards as shown, or do your own thing, or a mixture of course. All boxes include more products than you will need for the projects as shown, so you can easily make all the projects and then go on to create more designs.

So what are this month's designs?

Here they are - 8 different card designs for you, if you don't like all of the designs, simply omit those you don't like. The coloured images you can see below are all created from the papers included, the Easter and Spring cards are created using the die cuts included.

What equipment do I need to complete the designs?

You will need some adhesive (double sided tape, glue dots, foam pads - your choice), some scissors for cutting the papers, a guillotine or trimmer to cut the papers (or craft knife and ruler if preferred) and some colouring medium - pencils, alcohol markers or similar. Finally you will need some sentiments - so these can be stamped, hand written, or you can use peel-off sentiments if you prefer. Sentiment strips/card are included.

Sounds good! What's the PRICE? How do I pay?

All of my CLASS IN A BOX projects are priced at £20 for the box, delivered to your door (UK only). There is a cut off date for each box, so that I can order the products and get them prepared to send out. Ideally, payment by bank transfer please, but I also accpet credit card, cheque and PayPal payments. This month's closing date is 28th February 2021.

Can I get the box on subscription?

Absolutely, and I have a number of crafters who have subscribed as this is a great method of not missing out. I send out a reminder each month before taking payment, and you can opt out at any time. You can add the extra items if you wish for any given month.

Can I send a box to someone else?

Yes! You are welcome to have a box sent to another other UK address. You can also double-up and order an extra set of contents for just £15 per box - sent to the same address.

I can't make the online class, how long can I access the videos for ?

There is no limit on being able to access the videos, and no limit on how many times you watch them. All I ask is that you don't share the video conent with others. If you are a Demonstrator and wish to use the projects, please contant me.

OK - I'm interested..... What do I do next?

How to make a fun Easter/Spring themed card

Welcome back!

We had a fun week this week, with animal themed cards, so I am delighted to be able to share two of these with you in this blog post. We will start with the lovely Springtime Joy stamp set, which I used to create these cute 4" x 4" cards.

I stamped the rabbit and the two little chicks with Early Espresso ink, and then used the Blends pens to colour them in. For the rabbit I used Crumb Cake (light and dark) with some Petal Pink added for the highlight in the ears and cheeks. Poppy Parade and Mango Melody pens were used for the flowers and the chicks, with a tiny amount of Pumpkin Pie. The grass you can see was created by using one of the stamps from the Hydrangea Hill, stamped in Pear Pizzazz just under the feet of the rabbit and the chicks.  Any similar stamp would do.

Here is the sweet Springtime Joy stamp set. You can see more information online about this stamp set by clicking on the image below. It's £19 for the set and available from the January-June mini catalogue.

Springtime Joy stamp set available through Jemini Crafts
Here is a direct link to the video from my Facebook live this week:

It is such an easy card to make, here is another variation, using the Rabbit and the Basket of Eggs.  The papers in the photo below are from our Neutrals range of Designer papers, these come as 6"x6" paper stacks, and there are 40 sheets in each pack. You can see the writing side on the rabbit one below, and the dotty side on the sheep cards at the bottom.

For the cards, I used the following measurements:

Cut and fold base card to measure 99mm x 99mm.
Designer series paper of choice cut to 92mm x 92mm
I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shaped Dies for the White card layer, with the largest scallop circle die from the Layering Circle Dies pack for the matching background circle.

If you would like to see the first video for the Sheep cards, you can click on the video link below.

How to make a man's Suit and Tie card

Hi and welcome back. Today I am sharing another card in my series from this week - and this is a Suit and Tie card using the Well Dressed Suite fron Stampin' Up!

You may have already seen my earlier post HERE which featured just the tie die shape, combined with our Rainbow Glimmer paper.

Here is today's finished card design:

There are so many different card designs you can make with this die set. Although it doesn't show that well in my photograph, the shirt and collar are cut from Seaside Spray card, and I used our Tasteful Texture embossing folder to add some fabric texture.

The lovely pin stripe and the floral paper is from the matching paper pack. All of the designs in this pack have been scaled to match the size of the dies and stamps. They were even based on real suit and shirt materials, and are designed to evoke memories of traditional fathers suits, shirts and ties.

The handkerchief you can see poking out of the pocket was made with the collar die, simply cut into two and tucked in behind the pocket.

I used Dimensionals to lift the collar, the suit lapels and the pocket.

You can see the full video of how I made this card by visiting my You Tube channel. Most of my Facebook LIVE videos are uploaded to my channel, do subscribe and you won't miss out!

Here are a few more images from last weeks sessions. The blue and green designs are supposed to give the look of a shirt and jumper card. The green striped paper is from one of our Sale-a-Bration papers. Find out how you get these for FREE.

Well Suited - fun with dies to make rainbow ties for mens cards

Well Suited Suite

I know that is a bit of a mouthful when you say it out loud, but it is the name of the full suite you can find in the January-June 2021 mini catalogue from Stampin' Up!  Designed with men in mind, this is a perfect suite for making mens cards, BUT you can also have great fun with this for ladies too.

I am running a complete series of projects based on the stamps, dies, papers and twine, and I am delighted to share the first of these with you today.

Each day this week I have been running a Facebook LIVE featuring an element of the suite. The one I am showing you today is for rainbow ties... made with our fabulous Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Here were the results.

You can see a raised Happy Birthday die cut on the card on the right hand side. There is a close-up of this below. The die is from a brand new set which matches the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set on page 52 of the same catalogue (January-June 2021). The die set is available separately or as a bundle with the stamps - watch out for more information or click HERE.

You may also wonder why the left hand card has a greeting in German - that's because the stamps are available in English, French and German. I was lucky enough to present this suite to the worldwide Demonstrator base back in November 2020, so I was given access to all three language sets - that's why you will see various cards of mine in each of the three languages.

All of my videos are transferred from Facebook to You Tube, so here is the You Tube video for our cards above.

I hope you have enjoyed catching up with me, and seeing a little of this great suite. You can find a list of the main products I used in the following link SHOP NOW

You can transfer any of the items to your shopping basket if you like a quick and easy shopping experience.

Thank you for stopping by today, hope to see you again really soon.
