Trying out a new mechanical card

For this month's card classes I decided to try out a new (to me) mechanical card design - that is the Magic Card. So called as the image you see on the front of card magically changes from black and white outline, to a coloured image when you love the slider part.

I did hunt though the internet on Pinterest and you Tube to find the best mix of tutorials, and I based my project on a video from the lovely Julis Davison, although I changed the dimensions in the end to make a square card.

Here are the 3 card designs for class, and you can see the magic card in the bottom centre of the photo.  All the cards were made using the Grateful Bunch stamp set and matching punch.

All the cards are in the boot of my car at the moment, but I plan to shoot a short video and link to it here so you can see the full effect of the way the slider card works.

All the ladies at class last night did a great job and enjoyed making all the cards, so watch this space for more samples.  If you want to join us at a class in May, just email me for dates or visit my Class page.  Buy the class bundle (stamp set and matching punch with 15% discount) for £29.75 and get your class for FREE.
