Motorbikes meet Nature....or another way of using a 'dirt stamp'

I posted last week about the Rev Up the Fun Stamp set.   If you missed it, you can CLICK HERE to see it.  I hinted in an earlier posting that I was going to use one of the stamps from this very masculine set, on a nature themed card.  Here is the result.

Can you guess which stamp it was?

I am sure you have! It was the 'dirt' stamp on the bottom left hand side which I used to make the speckles on the bird - I think it looks quite 'thrush' like. 

It was one of those lightbulb moments!

Now - I had fun with that grass, but I wasn't entirely happy with the finished effect. Look out for a future posting that shows you how I improved the technique to make my grass more realistic. It was made using our fabulous Fringe Scissors which makes 5 parallel cuts into your card in one go. Great for '30s style fringes, as well as grass! you can see the scissors HERE.
