Welcome to my Blog, if you have arrived from Lisa's Blog,
what a fabulous project she created.
It was quite hard to decide which of our lovely new products I should use for todays projects, but as watercolouring is one of my favourite techniques, I opted to use our new watercolour sets. Above is the first of my finished cards, all of which use the Happy Watercolour eight piece stamp set.
I stamped the image in Staz-On waterproof ink, then used my inks and aqua-painter to colour in the flowers. In the Daffodil Delight ink they remind me of Forsythia. The sentiment is from the same set. I coloured a paper doily, and layered it some of our stunning watercolour designer paper, embossed with the 'Delicate Dots' embossing folder.
A touch of yellow ribbon to match just finishes off the card.
This card is already in the post to a lovely lady called Kay - we chatted for the first time today about Kay becoming a demonstrator and we got on so well, it was like we had known each other for years. I hope you like the card Kay.
I
then took the same image, stamped onto watercolour paper again, and
this time used pinks for the colouring of the image. The gentle
background was created using the watercolour stamp design that comes in
the set.
To create the look of the petals in the wind, I used a 'speckle' stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set - this is so useful for creating a gentle soft background. I used our Crystal Effects gloss to cover the flowers for a stunning effect.
Finally in the same set of stamps there is a beautiful poppy design, so I created a small tag using watercolour paper, and the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch, stamped the Poppy design onto it, then used some of the watercolour designs to create the background. The rest of the card was put together using one of our Simply Created 'Happenings' designs.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today. You can order via my online shop at any time using the How to Order link at the top of the page.
