Quick and easy cards

Hello again!
I just wanted to share some quick cards I made this afternoon, whilst trying out some new colour combinations. This combination was Rose Red and Rich Razzleberry. I used the stamp set "Too Kind", and I have a feeling it is going to get plenty of use in the future.

Caroline Hallett, one of my lovely downlines, posted a card on her blog made using the Petite Petals punch. Another Demonstrator (Paula Knall) had shared this idea on her blog recently and so I just had to give it a go! Here is the result. I used the same basic layout, but added the flowers for a 3D effect.

Mosaic Madness - On request!

I love running my regular monthly classes in Brackley and Stony Stratford, but I also offer Private classes to people who can't attend my classes, or want to cover a specific topic. In this instance, I am running  a private class tonight and the subject is Mosaic Madness.

These classes are great for customers who have purchased products, but want some ideas and inspiration on how to use them.  I only offer these classes on a limited basis, so if you can get some friends together, contact me and see if I can help you out with some projects of your choice.

Here are tonight's projects:

I have used the Mosaic Madness stamp set and matching punch to create all 3 of these cards.

On the left, I used the strip design and small flowers to create the background, then added some stamped/punched mosaic pieces. The white layer was then placed onto a Night of Navy strip of card (2" wide), and the top punched with our Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
A little ribbon and it's a bookmark all ready to go!.

The Easter card on the right (my son's favourite) was created by punching Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango cardstock with the punch. I ran them through the Textured Embossing Folder with our NEW Textured Embossing Machine, and added a button, cord and some ink to the petals for definition.

Finally, the centre card....

I stamped and punched out multiple sets of the mosaic madness stripe design. I then used my bone folder to curl the edges, and layered them with multi-purpose glue onto a circle of card. I love the 3-D element of this design. The leaves are from the Dies called Secret Garden and I have embossed the background whisper white layer with the matching Mosaic Madness Embossing Folder.

The original card I used to design this card from was created by Robin Merriman at Trinity Designs. So thank you Robin for the initial inspiration.

I hope the ladies tonight enjoy their class. All the above products can be purchased through my online store. Just click on any of the items below and they will take you directly there. Thanks

Stampin Up Watercolour Cards 2014 Jemini Crafts
It was quite hard to decide which of our lovely new products I should use for todays projects, but as watercolouring is one of my favourite techniques, I opted to use our new watercolour sets.  Above is the first of my finished cards, all of which use the Happy Watercolour eight piece stamp set.

I stamped the image in Staz-On waterproof ink, then used my inks and aqua-painter to colour in the flowers.  In the Daffodil Delight ink they remind me of Forsythia. The sentiment is from the same set. I coloured a paper doily, and layered it some of our stunning watercolour designer paper, embossed with the 'Delicate Dots' embossing folder.
A touch of yellow ribbon to match just finishes off the card.

This card is already in the post to a lovely lady called Kay - we chatted for the first time today about Kay becoming a demonstrator and we got on so well, it was like we had known each other for years. I hope you like the card Kay.

I then took the same image, stamped onto watercolour paper again, and this time used pinks for the colouring of the image. The gentle background was created using the watercolour stamp design that comes in the set.

To create the look of the petals in the wind, I used a 'speckle' stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set - this is so useful for creating a gentle soft background. I used our Crystal Effects gloss to cover the flowers for a stunning effect.

Finally in the same set of stamps there is a beautiful poppy design, so I created a small tag using watercolour paper, and the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch, stamped the Poppy design onto it, then used some of the watercolour designs to create the background. The rest of the card was put together using one of our Simply Created 'Happenings' designs.

New SPIRAL Flower Die

Hello and welcome back to my BLOG.
Today's project is a gift envelope and card. I can't show you the card today as that is a feature of a future posting, but I do want to share with you a new product called the Spiral Flower Die.

It is a die that fits the Big Shot Die cutting machine which makes it really easy and quick to make flowers from any card or designer paper.

Here is my finished project:

The card is tucked into an envelope made with our Envelope Punch Board, and the gift packet underneath is a super sized envelope (8" x 8") which is wrapped around a gift for one of my direct downline who recently prromoted.  I decided I needed a finishing touch, so made the flowers to go on top.

Here they are in close up:
Stampin Up Spiral Die Jemini Crafts
I made three flowers, using a square piece of paper for each one. For the leaves I used a piece of Wild Wasabi card, punched out a flower and wrapped it around the flowers as I created them. All you then need is some glue to hold the flowers together. What I like about this design is that you can make the flowers really tight like rosebuds, or you can put then together loosely for a different effect. If you want a small flower, you can just use part of the die cut.

Card Classes in Brackley

Hello there

Time is whizzing by and I can't believe that we are already into February. I have been very busy with classes over the last week, and I thought I would quickly share some photos of us in action at class.

I am very lucky to be able to hire a local art studio which has fantastic daylight lighting and seating for 10 people comfortably.  It is in the centre of Brackley (NN13 - Northamptonshire) and so parking and local shops are literally outside the door.
