Minion Card - using the Owl punch

I was recently asked to make a birthday card for a 13 year old girl, Emily, and the subject of the card was to be 'Minions'. These are characters from the 'Despicable Me' film, which is one I have not seen. I had to do some research and called upon one of my team members Caroline Hallett who I know had made some 'Minions' herself using the Stampin' Up! Owl Punch.
It was great fun, although quite fiddly; and I had lots of advice from my children as to which colours I should use and how to best make the eyes and uniforms.
Here is the completed card:

I used Crushed Curry for the Minion bases, with Pacific point for the dungarees. Our retired 'googly eyes' were added for some detail, and I decided to use the letters of  EMILY's name on the front of each of the dungarees. Happy Big Day is a cute sentiment from the Chalk Talk stamp set which has matching dies. Paper is from our Designer Series Paper stacks, I matched up the two colours from the Minions. Here is a close up of the Minions.

To order any of the items above, please feel free to visit my website and order Online. Or you can email me to order if you prefer.

I used the following items in the above card: Owl Builder Punch, Designer Series Paper stacks, Chalk Talk Stamp set and Matching Dies (save 15% when bought as a bundle). Congratulations message from Itty Bitty Banners with matching dies. The hands, feet and dungarees were all made with the Owl Builder Punch.
