Saturday Gathering

I am so looking forward to the weekend when we have a get-together as Demonstrators - this time we are meeting at Telford, and there are more than 300 demonstrators coming for the day.

It is typical that we will get some free items on the day - Stampin' Up! are indeed very generous with their events; and one of the fun things we get to do is swap ideas and projects with each other.  I will be making 50 samples and then exchange them with 50 different demonstrators, so I will come home with 50 new ideas! The purpose is to give each other inspiration, share ideas and colour choices.  The sample may use a stamp set or punch that you don't own, giving you the chance to show a finished sample to others.

For once, last weekend I started my swaps (normally I am a last minute person); and made the most of the sunshine, by sitting in the garden to get started stamping and cutting.

Here I am just getting underway:
As part of my design I decided to use my Spritzer bottle with some matching colour ink refill, plus some of the Glimmer Mist in White to give a nice gentle shimmer to my finished project.

However, by the time I had spritzed 50 samples... this was what my hand looked like.  Would of made nice nail polish.

Today has seen me carry on with my samples, with fellow demonstrators Lucy and Louise who came round to my house - it's always more fun crafting with friends. Here they are in full swing in the lounge:

I will be able to share my finished swaps with you after Saturday... you will have to wait until then!

Hope you are having a good week!
