Speedy card making - even late at night.

I love being able to make a set of cards quickly and easily, and the latest tool from Stampin' Up! the Stamparatus is a great help when you want to turn out repeats of cards.

I was desperate to use this new stamp set (available to order from 5th September) after one of my team, Sam, created a great "make and take" at our team meeting last week.  The set is called 'Wishing You Well' and features a beautiful wreath, a floral bunch, flowers and a stunning bow. The four sentiments in the set give you a variety of uses too.

Here is the stamp set and my finished sample:

Wishing you Well will be available to order from 5/09/18 jeminicrafts.co.uk

I used Pear Pizzazz ink for the floral section, with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape for the flowers, sentiment and bow. I also decorated the envelopes to match. Here are my finished stack of cards, I made these late at night (mainly because I fell asleep on the sofa earlier in the day), but with the Stamparatus it is so quick and easy to create multiple cards, as everything is set up once, and you just stamp, change the base card, and stamp again!

Wishing you Well will be available to order from 5/09/18 jeminicrafts.co.ukwww.jeminicrafts.co.uk to order this set from 5th September 2018
This style of stamp is called a DistINKtive (c) stamp, as it features the detail in the stamp to create the impression of depth of both the floral spray and the ribbon bow. I have found the darker the ink you use, the more stunning it becomes.  You will find these new style stamps in our current annual catalogue as well as our forthcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue.

The cards I have used are pre-scored and pre-cut and these are our Narrow Whisper White cards. You can buy them in a pack of 20 cards + 20 envelopes for just £7.50, The card size is 6.4cm x 11.4cm - perfect for little thank you cards. In fact, I shall be using these cards for my customers in August, as each person who orders through me receives a handmade card. They are on page 193 of the annual catalogue, photo below.

June classes - get MUCH more out of your stamps

I am so pleased that our brand new Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool and MUCH more) is now available to purchase. I know this will be a life saver, especially for those with dexterity issues, or those that struggle with clear, crisp stamping.

Just some of the benefits of using our Stamparatus:
  • Less waste of cards and ink
  • Better quality of stamped images
  • Easy repeat stamping for multiple cards.  Makes batch cards much quicker.
  • NEW techniques, including mirror and wreath stamping
All this means you will get SO MUCH MORE out of existing stamp sets, as you will see them in a different light altogether.

Click here or on the photo below for a basic video from Stampin' Up! on the Stamparatus

 So, onto our June classes.

We will be featuring the Stamparatus and there will be plenty of Hints and Tips for you during the class, including some techniques you may not have even thought of. You will have plenty of hands-on time. Here are our 3 samples:

There are 3 techniques included on the above cards: (L to R) Easy mirror stamping, Wreath stamping, and Hinge/ Step stamping. I have a wide choice of stamps you can use, so you can either follow my samples or be adventurous and design your own! Everyone that attended last week really enjoyed the class and learning some new techniques.

Here are the cards in more detail:

Here is an example of Stamping in the round, also known as wreath stamping. Layer up your stamps (3 in this case), stamp once and then turn your card round (using a template (supplied at class) and stamp again... repeat all round your card.  Add a sentiment and you are good to go. Build as many layers as you wish. Use ink pads or marker pens.

In this sample we are showing hinge step stamping. Stamp your image on the left hand side, then lift and move the plate over by 1 step to the right. Re-ink and stamp.... move and repeat.
Mirror stamping of images is a breeze..... stamp once on to your card, and then stamp onto one of our silicone mats, then place your card on top, face down.  You can mirror left-right or top-bottom.  I LOVE these cute animal images - view the stamp set here.
