Fun with Swirly Frames and Pop of Petals for quick and easy cards

Fun with Swirly Frames and Pop and Petals

We had great fun at coffee and cards making these simple stamped desgins using 2 stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

Simple stamped cards with Jenny ftrom Jemini Crafts

For the frames you can see in the background, we used the Swirly Frames stamp set, with the addition of Pop of Petals flower stamps, together with the four petal flower punch.

Pop of Petals

We made two designs - the first based on a square card, and the second using our rectangular note cards and envelopes. You can see both styles below.

We started by stamping the frame shape of choice onto a Whisper White card layer. This can be stamped in your flower colour of choice, or a contrasting colour if preferred.   In my top sample I used Sahara Sand for the circle and the leaves, and Blackberry Bliss for the flower images and the sentiment.
Here are the images included in the Swirly Frames stamp set

In the photo below you can see some of the ladies having fun with these designs at our Thursday afternoon session in Hummingbirds Bistro, Brackley.

It's great that there is a matching punch for the 5 flowers (and the butterfly) from the Pop of Petals set. I always recommend marking the bottom of each flower stamp,\to make it easier to align in the punch. You can see how I did this on my Facebook LIVE video and You Tube videos.

The stamp set also has different leaf images, which suit a variety of styles. I think we used all of the leaf images and all of the flower designs between us at our sessions!

After all of my coffee and card sessions, I run a Facebook Live video at 2pm (UK) each Monday, which you can find on my Facebook page and my You Tube channel.

Pop-up card boxes - February classes

By request for this month's card classes, we will be making these fun pop-up card boxes.

Everyone will receive full instructions on how to make them, and then you can make as many as you like within the class!

Although they look complicated, once you have made one, they are really simple. All of the designs above fold flat to fit a standard C6 envelope. The best tools to make these are our Simply Scored scoreboard, and/or our Stampin' Trimmer. Grab some designer paper (or stamp your own),  add some stamped images to decorate and you will have a great design in no time at all.

These cards are suitable for many occasions and all ages. Why not book in and have a go?
Warning: these fun cards are really addictive!
Use them with your existing stamps and die cuts.

Class Dates

Brackley (Evenley): Tuesday 26th February 1-3pm and 7-9pm
Milton Keynes (Stacey Bushes) TBC shortly.

EMAIL me to check on Stacey Bushes dates, or to book your slot at Brackley classes.

Bumper Card Class this month

How on earth did we manage to get to December so quickly?

December means that it is the last full month of our Autumn/Winter catalogue, and the retiring items from that issue have been announced, some of them with discounts. To check these out, you can click on the graphic below.  Don't delay, though, as some items have sold out already and they will not be re-stocked. You will also find some annual catalogue items discounted.

December Card Classes

The first of our 4 December classes was a HUGE success, and we made over 60 cards between us! The class is a cross between a stamp-a-stack and a one-sheet-wonder.

Stamp-a-Stack is where you come along and stamp a whole set of cards at class.
One-Sheet-Wonder is where you use a single sheet of designer paper (usually 12x12") and cut it up to make multiple cards.

In this class:
  • You have a choice of non-Christmas or Christmas designs.
  • You will be provided with printed full cutting instructions and suggestions.
  • You can choose a single 12x12" sheet of designer series paper.
  • You will be given 10 card bases, 10 inserts and 10 envelopes to match your paper.
  • You will have access to accessories, ribbon, buttons, doilies & other embellishments.
  • There will be a range of sentiments to choose from, and 10 white card die cuts to use.
  • You will only need to stamp your sentiments to complete all the cards, so you can take any extras home with you to complete
Here are 2 sets of cards, including Julie's Christmas designs made last week:

There are three options for this class:
  1. Pay £15 to attend the class, with supplies for 10 cards to make and take home.
  2. Place an order over £25 at class and you can attend your class for FREE
  3. Take the 'home delivery' option for £12 (excludes stamped sentiments), paper will be pre-cut for easier postage, a selection of accessories will be included.
Class dates:

Saturday 15th December  10am-12pm (Stacey Bushes)
Monday 17th December. 1-3pm Evenley (Brackley)
Monday 17th December 7-9 Evenley (Brackley)
To attend a class, or to order the home delivery option CLICK HERE and email me.

I can't wait to craft with you this month. All attendees will also receive a copy of the brand new Spring/Summer catalogue.
