Busy last week of the month - back to back classes

I love the last week of the month, as the majority of my classes fall this week.

My schedule this week includes:

• 2 coffee and card sessions
• 1 afternoon card class
• 1 evening card class
• 1 morning card class
• 1 afternoon private craft class

Great #coffeeandcard, last minute deals and retiring list.

Wow - what a lot to tell you!

Firstly, I had a great time at #coffeeandcard this morning in Towcester. I was teaching the ladies a new technique which uses our chalk marker pen and a white gel pen. They did a great job - here are the results:

 It's a day of 13's today! We had 13 people at #coffeeandcard this morning, it's the 13th April and there are 13 deals above (if you exclude the French and German stamp sets). Here is a little peek at what we made this morning - we were practising 'making' techniques where you cover over a stamped image, and then stamp over the top to create a 3 dimensional effect. It seemed to go down well, and the ladies today made some fabulous card designs.

Thank you Butterfly Cards

As it is a busy month for me, I am trying to keep ahead of the game, though I am not sure how long that will last!

As well as designing all the projects for this months classes, I have prepared my Thank You cards ready for customers ordering during the month. I went with the Watercolour Wings Stamp set.

Here are 2 of the finished designs, covered with Wink of Stella Glitter for added sparkle of course.

 

I hope they like them! The bases are Crumb Cake card, and I have used Very Vanilla card for the stamped layer.

April Sampler Pack - It's all about the In-Colours

I am so pleased with the way my sampler packs have been taken up, and I love the feedback from customers who like a 'mix of things that go together' and in the format and quantities they can't usually buy.

This month in April, it is all about the In-Colours. If you are not aware, Stampin' Up! have 2 sets of five In Colours at any time, each of which last for 24 months starting 1st June. The 2 sets overlap by a year, this enables Stampin' Up! to be up to date with current and forthcoming fashion trends; as has been proved over the last few years. 

 So we say goodbye at the end of May to the colours from 2014-2016:

Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.

The Sampler packs are based on each of the In Colour sets, so  you will receive cardstock, designer paper, ribbon and embellishments for each of the In-Colour packs. 

OPTION A: In Colour 2014-2016 Pack, 20 sheets card, 40 sheets paper, 5m ribbon and 1 pack mini brads.

OPTION B: In Colour 2015-2017 Pack, 20 sheets card, 40 sheets paper, 5m ribbon and 10 embellishments.

Each pack is just £20 per pack, with postage capped at £3.00 regardless of your order quantity. Order ANY 2 packs and pay just £39 for the two, plus postage if required.

Weekly Deals are coming to an end.

We have been informed by Stampin' Up! HQ that the weekly deal offers finish on 19th April 2016.  The products are listed for one week only at a discounted price of 25% off the full listed price.  This weeks deals can be seen here, although the image is quite small due to the number on there.

Anyone for Tea ?

Just for fun at #coffeeandcard tomorrow, the theme is actually 'TEA'

We will be making these little tea-bag holders, perfect as a little gift in a card, or with a little notecard tucked inside.

These were all based on an idea from Linda Heller at Stampingschool.com. When I subscribed to her amazing how-to videos this was one that I used many moons ago, but decided it would work perfectly for coffee and card.

The little pockets are made from a sheet of 6"x6" Designer Series paper - the lovely Have a Cuppa paper is just perfect for this as you can see above. I also used the 'It's My Party' paper stack as that has some lovely bright designs.  You could increase the size of this project quite easily - taking it to 4x4" by using an 8" square.

 

The little folder opens up to reveal 2 folded pockets into which can be placed tea bags (or coffee bags) or even a thin little wrapped biscuit. The ribbon runs all the way around the holder, with the little circle fixed at the back to hold it in place.
