Washi Tape ! So what is it?

Many of you may have heard of the term Washi Tape, but wondered what it was? That was certainly the case in my card class last week. Many people had heard the term but had never seen it.  Stampin' Up! have released some Washi Tape as part of their 'This and That series', and we can expect to see more tape in the brand new catalogue due out 2nd July.

Here is the Washi Tape - it comes on a roll and is a self adhesive masking tape. You can simply tear the tape with your fingers and place it on your paper. If you are not happy with the position, you can just lift the tape off the page and replace it. You can overlap it, or just use a single strip.

If you wish to stamp over it, I would recommend Staz-On ink, as the tape is slightly glossy.

Below and to the left you can see some cards that I made up with the tape - really quick and easy to use.

You can also use the Washi Tape in Scrapbooking - just tear some off and use it to stick in photos or journalling pieces.

I have also found it useful when placing Framelits on my Sizzix Platform. You can tear off the tape and use 1 or 2 pieces to hold your framelit and card in place. What I then do is remove the tape and apply it to my multipurpose platform ready for next time.

This washi tape is available as a pack of 3 tapes (each 4.6m in length) for just £4.50 the pack.
